Plumbing service software that keeps up with the emergency call.
Nobody's schedule survives a burst supply line at 10 a.m. Helix Field puts the whole day on one board, so the office can shuffle jobs without playing phone tag and your tech has the photos, the signature, and the payment done before he backs out of the driveway.
From $49/mo · web for the office, Android for the field · cancel renewal anytime
The day changes at 10 a.m. Your software shouldn't fight it.
Route trades can plan a week ahead. Service plumbing gets rearranged by whatever is flooding right now. Helix Field is one live record the office and the trucks both look at, so a schedule change is a tap on a board instead of a round of phone calls.
Get a truck moving while the caller is still on the phone.
Take the call, drop the job on the dispatch board, and put the day into a new order. Every tech's stops and statuses sit on one screen with a live job map behind them, so the dispatcher can see who's closest and who can take one more stop without wrecking the afternoon.
- A board you reorder that rebuilds the day in seconds
- Live job map, so you can see which stop is nearest
- Reassign a stop and it moves to that tech's phone

Job photos that settle the argument before it starts.
Slab leaks, corroded stacks, water in the cabinet: plumbing is a trade where the customer usually can't see the problem and sometimes doesn't want to believe the bill. Techs attach before and after photos to the job right from their phone. When a homeowner questions the charge, or an insurance adjuster wants proof, it's already on the record.
- Before and after photos attached straight to the job
- The office sees new photos in the activity feed as they land
- History stays with the customer and the property, searchable later

Estimate, invoice, and payment, all in the driveway.
Quote the water heater swap on site, get the go ahead, do the work, and turn the estimate into an invoice without retyping a line. Send a card payment link the customer pays on their own phone, or log the cash or check they hand you. Nothing rides back to the office in a folder on the dash.
- Estimates written in the field, converted without retyping
- Card by pay link, cash and check logged on the spot
- Every payment tracked against its invoice, no shoebox math

Signatures, checkpoints, and the whole day on their phone.
Techs open the day in route order, clock through the checkpoints you define for every job, attach photos, and hand the phone over for the customer's signature before they pull away. iPhone and Android.

The rest of the business rides along.
Repeat work, records, hours, and payroll live in the same login as the dispatch board. Set up recurring plans for the backflow tests and water heater flushes, and the schedule builds itself.
What to look for in plumbing service software
Most field service platforms were designed around route work: the same forty lawns every week, in the same order. Service plumbing is a different animal. The tools that matter are the ones that survive the schedule blowing up midmorning. Here's the short list worth checking on any platform, ours included.
Dispatch built for interruptions
A weekly route planner is the wrong tool for a trade where the highest value job of the day usually arrives by phone after the day has started. Look for a live board the dispatcher can reorder in seconds, a map of every stop and who is assigned to it, and a mobile app that picks up the change without anyone making a call. In Helix Field that's the dispatch board, route ordering, and the live job map, and every plan includes them.
Evidence that holds up later
Photos and signatures aren't extras in plumbing. They're how you win the chargeback, the warranty argument, and the insurance question. The photo should attach to the job, not sit in a tech's camera roll, and the completion signature should live on the same record as the invoice it approves. Helix Field keeps both on the job, tied to the customer and the property, so the history is still there when the question comes up a year later.
Same visit billing
Every day an invoice waits, it gets harder to collect. The field workflow should run estimate to invoice to payment in a single visit: a pay link for cards, and a clean way to log the cash and checks plumbing customers still hand over, so the office isn't reconciling a bank bag against somebody's memory. Helix Field tracks card, cash, and check against the invoice, and the office watches payments post in the activity feed.
Where Helix Field fits, honestly
Helix Field is a young platform with flat pricing and every feature on every plan. It's built by BAW International, alongside working landscaping and pond maintenance crews in Oklahoma: trades that live by the same dispatch, photo, signature, and payment loop a service plumber runs several times a day. If you need a deep catalog of integrations from third parties or a flat rate price book built in today, an older and larger suite may serve you better for now. We lay all that out plainly so you can compare field service software and decide with clear eyes.
Flat pricing by crew size. Every feature, every plan.

Straight answers for plumbing shops.
How much does Helix Field cost for a plumbing company?
Solo is $49 per month with 3 seats, Crew is $99 per month with 6 seats, and Team is $179 per month with 10 seats. Larger or multi branch operations can ask for an Enterprise quote on the pricing page. Annual prices are $499, $999, and $1,799 and include a discount approximately equal to two monthly payments. Extra technician seats are $22 per month on any plan, and every plan includes every feature.
Is there a free trial?
No. Helix Field has no free tier and no trial: you sign up, pick a monthly or annual plan, and pay. You can cancel renewal with no cancellation fee; access continues through the paid term, and unused time is not prorated, refunded, or credited.
Can my techs take payment in the field?
Yes. Technicians can send a card payment link the customer pays on their own phone, or record cash and check payments against the invoice on the spot. Card payments carry a 1% platform fee to BAW plus Stripe's or Square's standard processing fee. Recording cash and checks costs nothing extra.
Does the technician app run on iPhone?
The technician app runs on iPhone and Android. The office side runs in any modern browser on any computer, so dispatchers and owners install nothing.
Can I attach photos and collect signatures on jobs?
Yes. Technicians attach photos to the job from their phone and collect the customer's signature at completion. Both stay on the job record, so the office can pull them up whenever a question comes up, whether that is next week or next year.
